LiScriptTM Reverse Transcriptase is a sequence-mutated reverse transcriptase based upon the structure of M-MLV (RNase H-) Reverse Transcriptase. LiScriptTM Reverse Transcriptase substantially increases its thermal stability: its half-life exceeds more than 240 minutes at 50°C, and the activity remains stable for a much longer time at 55°C, which makes it highly suitable for RNA template with complex secondary structure. Furthermore, LiScriptTM increases more point mutations, to further elevated the affinity of the template and progression, makes reverse transcription reaction more efficient, with more full-length cDNA can be obtained and as long as 20 kb cDNA can be synthesized, and for the common reverse transcriptase inhibitor has higher tolerance, reverse transcription reaction is very suitable for plant tissue RNA.
LiScriptTM 1st strand cDNA Synthesis Kit (+gDNA wiper) contains all components needed to synthesize high-quality 1st strand cDNA. Oligo (dT)18 and Random hexamers can be chosen as primers for reverse transcription as needed. Compare with Oligo dT18, Oligo dT23VN in Kit has stronger anchoring ability for Poly A+ RNA, which makes the reverse transcription efficiency is higher. Choose Oligo dT23VN accordingly, Random hexamers or gene specific primers for reverse transcription primer.
