Background

Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I requires the formation of a complex composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and three TBP-associated factors (TAFs) specific for RNA polymerase I. This complex, known as SL1, binds to the core promoter of ribosomal RNA genes to position the polymerase properly and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. This gene encodes the largest SL1-specific TAF. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

TAF1C antibodyWestern blotting analysis using anti-TAF1C antibody (Cat#65610). Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with anti-TAF1C antibody (Cat#65610, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Cat#201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat#226).
Western blotting analysis using anti-TAF1C antibody (Cat#65610). TAF1C expression in wild-type (WT) and TAF1C shRNA knockdown (KD) HT-1080 cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with anti-TAF1C antibody (Cat#65610, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Cat#201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat#716).
