Background

The protein encoded by this gene is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and is involved in cholesterol biosynthesis. Mutations in this gene are associated with CHILD syndrome, which is a X-linked dominant disorder of lipid metabolism with disturbed cholesterol biosynthesis, and typically lethal in males. Alternatively spliced transcript variants with differing 5' UTR have been found for this gene.

Images

NSDHL antibodyWestern blotting analysis using anti-NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364). Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with anti-NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Cat#201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using FeQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat#226).
Western blotting analysis using anti-NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364). NSDHL expression in wild type (WT) and NSDHL shRNA knockdown (KD) HeLa cells with 20 μg of total cell lysates. Hsp90 α serves as a loading control. The blot was incubated with anti-NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364, 1:5,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Cat#201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat#716).
Flow cytometric analysis of NSDHL expression in HeLa cells using NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364, 1:2,000). Green, isotype control; red, NSDHL.
Immunocytochemical staining of HeLa cells with anti-NSDHL antibody (Cat#62364, 1:1,000). Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; NSDHL was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar: 20 μm.
